“Disculpa Colombia, Disculpa Ecuador”

With a clinching win last night over Ecuador, Chile solidify their position as being classified for South Africa-bound. This now knocks Ecuador out of contention, allowing Argentina to clinch the fourth-place position.

Bielsa continues to demonstrate the ability to take a young team against world contenders, and will put that team to the test in 2010. Suazo also continues to amaze us with his athletic ability with goal after goal, hearkening back to the time when the 1-2 punch of “Zamorano y Salas” was heard.

———
As quoted in El Mercurio:

Saludos,

Brian

As the tenth of October approaches, La Roja prepares for the next qualifier with Colombia. Bielsa attempts to improve the team dynamics by adding Roberto Cereceda in the backfield, trying to find the perfect combination.

Robinho's Second Santos Debut, and Neymar's Paradinha Penalty

Robinho didn't disappoint on his second Santos debut, coming off the bench to score a Zola-esque near post flick of a winner vs São Paulo.
